THIS WEEK: CHECK YOUR MONTHLY BILLS FOR ADDED CHARGES

I checked my cable bill last month and I noticed that the bill
seemed higher than the month prior. I opened up my account
to compare the previous month’s bill.  It actually was higher.
Why?  I did not add any additional services. I was on a one
year plan for cable, internet, and phone.  So, I called ATT
to find out why my bill increased.

Anytime you call these multinational corporations you have
to go through the maze of phone options to get to
a customer service representative.  After about 10 minutes
I got through to someone.  I asked about the increase,
the rep said they had a price increase that went across
the board to customers.  I asked the rep why am I included
if I am on a rate plan?  She apologized and issued a refund
and corrected my account.  Just imagined if I did not call,
they would have easily taken more money from me
each and every month.

Just think of all the people who are on rate plans
who do not bother to call in.  ATT takes in millions
and millions of dollars from this practice.

Remember it is Money on Your Terms.  Don’t let companies
take advantage of you. Lesson: Check all your bills each
month to see that they are accurate.
